The range of the perennial herbaceous plant safflower-like raponticum is the Altai Mountains. The plant is sometimes found in the east and west of Siberia, Central Asia. The rhizome of this culture is actively used in the medicine of the Altaians.
Leuzea safflower (maral root):

The chemical composition of Leuzea safflower is a combination of macro- and microelements, as well as polysaccharides, antioxidants, vitamins, resins, tannins, steroid compounds, flavonoids, organic acids and lipids.
Homemade infusions and pharmaceutical preparations with leuzea are useful for both men and women. To improve reproductive functions, it is advisable to take a water-based medicine, and to improve overall well-being. It is better to use alcohol tinctures. An alcohol solution can be made using flour from the root of maral (leuzea).
Not recommended for individual intolerance.
Recommendations for use and method of preparation: pour one teaspoon of chopped root with a glass of boiling water, wrap with a terry towel for 20–30 minutes or insist in a thermos. Strain, squeeze out the rest. Infusion drink 1 glass 3 times a day before and after meals.
The duration of admission is at least 20 days. Store the prepared drink in the refrigerator for only 2 days.
